How to quickly and effectively reduce blood cholesterol (in 2020)

Many people face the problem of high cholesterol. The appearance of hypercholesterolemia (this is what high cholesterol levels in the blood are called) can lead to serious vascular and heart diseases, which pose a great threat to human life. Therefore, this state should not be triggered under any circumstances. He needs to be treated. In this case, it is not enough just to find the best remedy for cholesterol. This requires an integrated approach to treatment, which we will talk about now.

Eliminate trans fats from your diet!

Trans fats (or trans isomers of fatty acids) are perhaps the most harmful and dangerous fats of all. Especially industrial ones! According to the results of one study (*)

the latter (i.e. “artificial” fats) not only increase the level of
“bad” LDL cholesterol
in the blood serum (and Total), but also reduce the content of
“good” HDL cholesterol
(on average)
by (!) 20%!
Thus, significantly increasing
the risks of developing atherosclerotic
cardiovascular diseases and other dangerous ailments! And this is just the tip of the iceberg...

Thus, according to the WHO program (developed after a special UN session / in 2011), absolutely all countries of the world should completely eliminate partially hydrogenated (or hydrogenated) vegetable oils from all food products until 2025. However, in the USA they are prohibited from being used for the production of “store-bought treats” - as early as next January (i.e. 2021)! Since before this time, some American ones, for example, rounded up their content in the amount of 0.5 grams. to zero.

Although, these are “childish pranks” - compared to the “deeds” of our “craftsmen” who use trans fats to adulterate dairy products (**).

What the official website of Rosselkhoznadzor warned about.

What are they? In essence, these are modified (using the hydrogenation process) “normal” fats, with the (“mercantile”) goal of obtaining a more stable (in terms of many “commodity” characteristics) ingredient. The most commonly used is for the production of margarine, spreads, confectionery fat and other “long/storable”/products. Which, in turn, are used to produce pastries, cakes, candies, cookies, muffins, crackers and other “store-bought goodies” (as in the picture above).

Of course, unlike “classic” fats, this is “wonderful know-how” - it significantly extends the shelf life of the product and contributes to a more attractive (external) appearance of the product. Because it does not melt even at room temperature. That is why most companies actively used trans fats for a long time (and successfully made money), until scientists raised the alarm. In particular, after it became clear that trans fats are the cause (!) 8%

mortality (and on a global scale) from cardiovascular diseases.

It is definitely worth noting that in addition to “industrial” fats, there are also natural trans fats, i.e. present in natural meat and dairy products. The number of which can be seen in the table (below).

More details about other PRODUCTS THAT INCREASE CHOLESTEROL IN THE BLOOD

Vegetables

Treatment of cholesterol with folk remedies involves following a diet consisting of foods that accelerate its elimination and normalize metabolism:

  • White cabbage improves blood composition, reduces the production of LDL and triglycerides, and accelerates the removal of fats from the body.
  • Tomatoes are rich in polyphenols that stimulate HDL production. Ripe tomatoes contain salicylates, which cleanse blood vessels of cholesterol deposits. A large amount of potassium reduces cardiac stress and eliminates surges in blood pressure.
  • Carrots, which are high in carotene and polyphenols, quickly lower total cholesterol levels.
  • Beans, lentils, and peas are rich in plant fiber and protein. They reduce the concentration of dangerous lipoproteins, cleanse blood vessels of plaque, remove toxins and waste.
  • Celery has a beneficial effect on blood vessels, heart, and metabolism. It is very useful to eat boiled stems sprinkled with sesame seeds.

Vegetables are consumed daily. They should make up 40% of the total diet. They can be eaten raw, boiled, baked without crust, or steamed. Vegetable dishes are seasoned with olive or vegetable oil.

Limiting the amount of saturated fat

It is probably “logical”, but (!) it is a mistake to believe that the best way to reduce cholesterol is either the complete exclusion of all existing fats from the diet, or their minimal amount in some specific diets. However, the first option, according to sad statistics (usually after self-invented and self-prescribed “treatment”) is fraught with not only physical problems, but also mental ones. Well, and the second option, judging by the results of large-scale research (*)

, is able to “well” reduce not only the level of LDL cholesterol, but also HDL cholesterol. That is, reduce the amount of good cholesterol, which is responsible for “transporting” excess “bad” cholesterol (LDL) back to the liver.

Perhaps this is why the most optimal option (used in most cholesterol/lowering diets) was not an exception, or a strict restriction of fats in the diet, but replacing their “saturated” variety with an “unsaturated” one. Until in 2014, a group of British scientists, after a detailed analysis of 72 studies (in which over 600,000 people from 18 countries took part), came to the conclusion that this “case” does not affect the development of heart disease (**)

. Although, this issue is still being studied.

According to the project manager: “In red meat, it is not fats that are more dangerous to the heart, but the substance L-carnitine. And, in general, the best way to maintain heart health is to quit bad habits, lead an active lifestyle and carefully monitor your diet. Which includes not only control over fats, but also over sugar, and over salt, as well as the right amount of fruits and vegetables you eat!”

(regarding dieting for high cholesterol)

What are “saturated” and “unsaturated” fats? And what is their difference? In simple words, without delving into the number of carbon chains and their “saturation” with hydrogen atoms (where the names came from: “saturated” and “unsaturated” fats, as well as the prefixes: “mono” and “poly”, depending on the number of double bonds), then, first of all, they differ in appearance from each other - in their melting point. In other words, all saturated fats (like lard) remain solid at room temperature, while unsaturated fats will be liquid.

Although, saturated fats are not always just solid fats, as in LAD

(or its
LAYERS
), “fatty / store-bought”
MARGARINE
,
“RED” MEAT
(beef, pork) or even in
BIRD SKIN
.
Some VEGETABLE OILS
(most of all -
COCONUT
and
PALM
).
As well as DAIRY
and
BUTTER CHEESE PRODUCTS
(made from
WHOLE MILK
or 2 percent fat).

But, wherever they were, according to WHO recommendations (from 2003), in order to avoid the risks of obesity, diabetes and CVD, the consumption of saturated fats was seriously limited:

  • no more than 10%
of the daily caloric intake for healthy adults and children
  • no more than 7%
of the daily caloric intake for people at risk.

As for monounsaturated fats, their main benefits have been proven 1)

in increasing the level of “good” HDL cholesterol
2)
and “inhibiting” the oxidation process of “bad” cholesterol (LDL).
The healthiest and best sources of monounsaturated fats are OLIVE OIL
,
RAPE OIL
,
WALNUT
,
ALMOND
and

Cleaning blood vessels with milk

You can get rid of cholesterol plaques with the help of recipes containing milk and other ingredients.

Milk and tea

Pour milk into the mug (1/5 of the total volume) and add tea leaves to the top. Take a drink every 2 hours. Duration of the course is 2 – 5 days (depending on how you feel). During treatment you should not drink or eat anything else. It is forbidden to add anything to the composition in the morning and lunch hours. But after 15 hours (3 pm) it can be sweetened with honey or granulated sugar.

Vegetable soluble fiber

These are plant dietary fibers, which, just like insoluble fibers, are absolutely not digested by digestive enzymes (of the human body), but, absorbing water, are converted in the intestines into a kind of gel-like substance. Which, in turn, serves as excellent nutrition for many beneficial bacteria (or probiotics), which play a critical role in effectively reducing the levels of conditionally “bad” cholesterol (LDL and VLDL) and TRIGLYCERIDES

. According to calculations by Dutch microbiologists, there are 34 species of them in the human gastrointestinal tract!

Based on the results of numerous studies (*)

It turned out that the most beneficial types of soluble fiber (in terms of lowering cholesterol and reducing the risk of developing CVD) are psyllium, beta-glucan, pectin and guar gum. Of which, the first and last (i.e. psyllium and guar gum) can enter our body only after taking dietary supplements. And the second and third (i.e. pectin and beta-glucan) are found in the most common (and inexpensive) food products.

Sufficient amounts of beta-glucan (to reduce LDL cholesterol by 7-10%) are found in WHOLE OATS.

Flax seeds and oil

In folk medicine, seeds, tinctures, and flax seed oil are actively used to reduce cholesterol. They contain a lot of polyunsaturated acids, potassium, and selenium. Active substances normalize metabolism, remove waste, toxins, low-density lipoproteins, which can reduce cholesterol by 5% after just 10 days.

Flaxseed oil is a product that has a rather specific taste. For the first 3-4 days, it is advisable to take it 1-2 tsp. half an hour before meals, eating a slice of apple or orange. Then the dosage is increased to 3 tsp/day. You should not drink oil with water. Treatment is carried out in two courses. The first lasts 3 weeks, then a two-week break is taken, then therapy is resumed. You can repeat the course after 6 months.

A decoction of flax seeds is drunk for 3 weeks. 100 g of raw material is poured into 500 ml of boiling water, covered with a lid, and left for 2-3 hours. Start with 2 tbsp. l., every 2 days the dosage is increased by 1 tbsp. l., gradually increasing the amount to 100 ml/day. The decoction is drunk on an empty stomach, the duration of therapy is 1-1.5 months.

Flax seeds in their pure form also help normalize cholesterol levels. They are consumed in 3 tsp doses. three times/day. Can be added to kefir and yogurt. This cocktail can easily replace a full breakfast. Flax seeds go well with vegetable salads and side dishes.

Flaxseed oil, decoctions, seeds are undesirable for cholecystitis, kidney disease, and high blood viscosity.

Phytosterols and phytostanols

Plant sterols and stanols (i.e. phyto/sterols and phyto/stanols), being very similar (in formula) to our cholesterol, are quite effective in reducing its absorption (i.e. absorption) in the intestines. And, accordingly, entry into the blood. Due to the fact that, having greater hydrophobicity, they (like “arrogant competitors”) literally displace cholesterol molecules from the micelles. Which (later) are excreted from the body with intestinal masses.

Absorption (absorption) and synthesis of new cholesterol are interconnected processes (*)

, therefore, when one of them changes, the other inevitably changes, strictly in the opposite direction. Thus, the absorption of “imitators” of real cholesterol (and those that do not harm blood vessels and arteries) significantly reduces the production of new cholesterol. Over time, reducing excess LDL cholesterol levels in the blood by 10-14%, when using phytostanol esters
(**)
.

Minimal amounts of naturally occurring sterols and stanols are found in some vegetable oils, seeds (especially yellow or green vegetables), and nuts. More significant concentrations of phyto/sterol esters and phyto/stanols are found in special/medicinal (i.e. emulsion fat) foods: yoghurts, kefir, milk and spreads. Their most popular and time-tested producing countries are the USA, France, Russia, Finland and Sweden.

Cleaning the liver

A patient with high cholesterol levels will have to cleanse the liver at least twice a year, since the organ produces cholesterol. To do this, you can resort to unconventional methods that restore liver function and have proven their effectiveness in treating cholesterol with positive results for years. The following herbs can be used:

  • milk thistle;
  • burdock;
  • dandelion root.

The use of choleretic drugs for cholesterol is also indicated. The following plants and techniques have these properties:

  • corn silk;
  • Tubazh is a slight warming up of right consumption;
  • massage of the right hypochondrium;
  • mineral water;
  • special therapeutic exercises.

Alcohol (in very moderate quantities)

Surely, for most people, reducing high cholesterol levels in the blood (with the help of alcoholic drinks) will seem like the most pleasant way. And, indeed, as research has shown (*)

with the participation of 18 (non-smoking) postmenopausal women: daily consumption of 24 grams.
White wine with dinner (over two 3-week periods) increased good HDL cholesterol by 5%. This, of course, provided some improvement in the “reverse transport” of harmful LDL cholesterol to the liver (for processing and removal from the body). But much larger quantities of wine (more than 24 grams for women and 48 grams for men) are fraught with very sad consequences - from high blood pressure to alcohol addiction. At the same time, according to the results of another study, people who drink on (“relaxed”) weekends have almost (!) 2 times
higher risks of developing coronary heart disease than women and men who “aggravate” it on (“stressful”) weekdays. days.

Rules

To achieve positive results, the placenta first needs to reconsider your lifestyle and follow simple recommendations:

  1. Try to minimize the use of animal fats.
  2. Avoid marinades, fast foods, and baked goods that contain large amounts of fat.
  3. To live an active lifestyle.
  4. Try to give up alcoholic drinks and smoking.
  5. Visit specialized specialists for preventive maintenance every six months.

Gradual (moderate) weight loss

Of course, even a few “extra” kilograms in your body contribute to increased cholesterol levels in the blood. However, to reduce it, you should not “torment” yourself with diets (especially self-prescribed ones) or abnormal physical activity (especially without consulting a doctor). In order to normally reduce your excess cholesterol (as recommended by foreign experts at the Mayo Clinic) by the predicted 8%, it will be quite enough to lose an “extra” 10 pounds (or 4.5 kg)! But, in no case - not sharply, so as not to harm your health (and again - quickly (!)

do not “gain” all the kilos). That is, for long-term results you need to lose no more than 1-2 pounds (900 grams) per week! Accordingly, within 6 weeks!

Types of treatment

There are a couple of types that doctors use in their practice to reduce the level of low-density lipoprotein in the blood plasma. And these include the following:

  1. Pharmacological drugs that achieve positive results in the shortest possible time.
  2. Alternative medicine remedies that are also effective for high cholesterol, but the course of treatment will be longer and lasts several months.
  3. An integrated approach for high lipoprotein levels, with the doctor using pharmacological drugs in conjunction with traditional medicine recipes. This helps increase results.

Important! What therapy is suitable for a person to lower cholesterol is prescribed by the attending physician, based on test results and symptomatic manifestations.

Physical exercise

According to the results of 13 studies (*)

Regular physical activity effectively reduces high levels of “bad” LDL cholesterol in the blood and increases con (i.e. HDL cholesterol). This means, if your doctor does not mind, then start practicing (at least 5 times a week) - either 30 minutes of moderate (aerobic) physical exercise, or 20 minutes of intense exercise. But start with the simplest blocks – lasting no more than 5-10 minutes!

Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do for your heart today!
In addition, try to look for every opportunity to move more! For example, sometimes not use the elevator, park further away from the office, clean the house more often (or do other work). Ride a bike more often, do (at least minimal) exercise in the morning. Take a walk after lunch or after work (preferably in the park/in the fresh air), etc. and so on. And, of course, an excellent option is to find yourself an “accomplice” in these activities (among colleagues, friends, neighbors or family).

Your task is not just to reduce the indicator in the analysis!

After all, the goal is not just to record an improvement in lipid metabolism in the analysis. The reason why you started seeing a doctor was probably due to visible disorders that interfere with life and hint at age, such as “pressure surges” or weakening of memory and attention, increased fatigue with age or spasms. Therefore, we offer here a combination of natural substances that creates the basis for improving well-being and the condition of blood vessels in general, and lipid metabolism is normalized simply in the process. However, they are not medicines!

Our technology involves the consistent restoration of metabolic processes: fat (lipids) and glucose (blood sugar) metabolism. To do this, we are improving the work of those bodies that are responsible for this.

Step by step, while maintaining adequate nutrition, you will achieve a completely different quality of vitality and well-being. All combinations of natural remedies are the result of an analysis of hundreds of studies conducted in Russia, the USA, and Europe regarding individual natural ingredients.

An important difference: you get a complete physiological system, instead of random actions, and a guarantee of quality and authenticity for what you take, because all natural non-drug products in the program are produced specifically for the Sokolinsky System.

In short, the following will happen:

— Improving liver function with the help of plant extracts along with minerals that have a long history of use allows you to inhibit the production of LDL (bad cholesterol) and its excretion in the bile. We use Liver 48 (Margali)

— Cleansing the intestines, supplementing the diet with active plant fibers, actually replacing the microflora with a friendly one does not allow it to be absorbed into the vessels of the intestinal wall. We use NutriDetox and a complex of 13 strains of friendly bacteria Unibacter. Special series

— High-quality Omega-3 acids reduce blood viscosity, the tendency of platelets to stick together, improve fluid movement in tissues, they protect the vessel wall from microinflammation and at the same time are a natural “solvent” for bad cholesterol. We produce the ideal omega-3 formula “Megapolynol”.

— Active flavonoids of Siberian larch improve the movement of oxygen and nutrients through the smallest vessels - capillaries. This significantly improves the quality of blood circulation, blood pressure stability, strawberry extract and sarsaparilla extract remove excess fluid. from the body. The formula for vascular well-being is called AlphaMaxiel.

If a biochemical blood test revealed an increase in lipids above the norm recommended by leading cardiologists as safe, then it is unwise to ignore it. Another question is that by influencing the causes, you can get a real improvement in well-being and an anti-aging effect, and chemistry allows you to normalize the analysis, but the aging of blood vessels continues. Because chemistry approaches the problem narrowly, while the naturopathic approach approaches it systematically.

Cholesterol and smoking

Smoking not only “kills” your lungs by disrupting the function of gas exchange, but also seriously increases the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. Basically, by preventing "bad" cholesterol from being transported back to the liver for processing (*)

.

At the same time, as studies have shown, the most harmful thing is not nicotine itself, but specifically the “tar”, i.e. “combustion products” of tobacco and other plant materials. Having a negative impact, precisely, on the functions of the protein/transporter (cholesterol) ABCA1.

Fortunately, quitting smoking can completely improve the situation! At the same time, not only for you, but also for your non-smoking relatives, who, as a rule, also suffer from so-called “passive” smoking!

“There’s nothing easier than quitting smoking—I’ve quit a thousand times already!” Mark Twain once joked. However, if you decide to stop smoking, you will experience many beneficial changes in your body:

  • after 20 minutes (after stopping smoking), your blood pressure and heart rate will normalize after the negative effects of tar and nicotine;
  • after 3 months (after “saying goodbye to cigarettes”), both your circulatory system and lung functions (both primary and secondary) begin to recover;
  • in a year (after quitting smoking) you can expect a reduction in the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases - almost (!) 2 times
    compared to smokers.

Cholesterol-lowering drinks

These folk remedies for cholesterol remove excess fat, cleanse blood vessels, maintain performance, and improve digestion.

Tomato juice

The drink is considered an effective prophylactic for any stage of atherosclerosis and hypertension. Helps lower cholesterol, remove toxins, restore vascular elasticity.

It is advisable to drink the juice without salt, in courses of 10-14 days, 2-3 times a year. Drink 500 ml of the drink daily before meals, dividing the volume into 3-5 servings.

Green tea

Contains many amino acids, enzymes, mineral salts. Strengthens the immune system, removes salts of heavy metals, with long-term use reduces cholesterol, slows down atherosclerosis, and reduces the risk of heart disease.

Accordingly, if you need to reduce the amount of cholesterol, drink green tea daily. It is advisable to consume it with breakfast and lunch, without sugar. The result is noticeable after 2-3 months of regular consumption of the drink.

Ginger tea

Ginger contains active substances that thin the blood, preventing the formation of blood clots and cholesterol plaques. Ginger root improves metabolism and fat metabolism, accelerating their uptake by liver cells.

To prepare a healing drink, fresh ginger root is grated. 1 tbsp. l. raw materials, pour 300 ml of boiling water, brew for 20 minutes, add the juice of half a lemon, honey. They drink it twice. Ginger tea should not be drunk in the evening due to its tonic effect.

Cocoa

A drink made from cocoa beans is a real natural antidepressant that relieves nervous tension. It also helps get rid of high cholesterol levels, stimulates the work of the heart muscle, eliminates arrhythmia, and cleanses vascular walls of atherosclerotic plaques.

If you drink a cup of aromatic drink every day at breakfast, the risk of heart disease and atherosclerosis is reduced. You should not indulge in this drink before bed, as its tonic effect can cause insomnia.

Jerusalem artichoke tea

The tubers of the plant are rich in carbohydrates, minerals, fructose, and pectin. Pear juice normalizes sugar and fat levels, prevents salt deposits and a decrease in vascular tone.

To prepare the medicine, the tubers of the plant are grated and dried. Brew like regular tea, drink about 500 ml of the drink per day.

Buckwheat jelly

Buckwheat has a beneficial effect on the digestive tract, helps lower cholesterol and sugar. To normalize fat metabolism, you can regularly consume porridge from this cereal or jelly.

To prepare the drink, the cereal is ground with a coffee grinder. 2 tbsp. l. powder, pour 1 liter of cold water, stir well, put on fire. After the mixture boils, boil for another 10 minutes, stirring constantly so that there are no lumps. Drink half a glass twice a day. The finished jelly can be sweetened with honey, nuts and dried fruits added.

Stress and cholesterol

According to the results of many studies, it has been repeatedly proven that stress seriously increases blood cholesterol levels. At the same time, both long-term and short-term. Of course, sometimes we vitally need both a surge of adrenaline and a release of fatty acids (including cholesterol) in order to survive in difficult situations and cope with the problem. But it’s not worth it to constantly “wind up” yourself! After all, it is not the problems themselves that “finish off” us, but the way WE see them.

That is why, to reduce excess cholesterol levels in the blood, try to focus on the positive (perhaps after contacting a psychologist or neurologist, if you can’t do it yourself). And laugh more often! No matter how stupid it may sound, Norwegian scientists (over 15 studies) have proven that laughter and a sense of humor (although especially in women) reduces the “general” risk of death by 48%. Including, from heart disease - by 73%, infectious diseases - by 83% in women and 74% in men.

In general, make it a rule: “Look for the positive in everything and everywhere!” And, accordingly, avoid “negativity”. For example, in the morning, never read the news (put off this “thing” until lunch), and before going to bed, do not watch “politics.” Find more comedies or funny compilations on YouTube. Also, try to get enough sleep more often by postponing mega/important things and thoughts until the next morning!

Another interesting thing is that music also affects our cardiovascular system. At the same time - both positive and negative! According to the staff of the Center for Preventive Cardiology (Maryland / USA) and Brunel University of London, after using the so-called Music Therapy in their research! Accordingly, relaxing antidepressant music (like the one posted below), calming the nerves, has a beneficial effect on our blood vessels, while other music (especially music “not to our liking”) has a negative effect!

How to reduce blood cholesterol at home with herbs quickly and effectively?

Many people wonder how to reduce blood cholesterol at home. Because exceeding the norm of this “bad” fatty substance can lead to serious illnesses and even death.

If your body is prone to such a pathological condition, it is recommended to take herbal decoctions and infusions on an ongoing basis. It will not be possible to take a course of one of the plants and normalize blood plasma levels forever. It is important for a long time, or even throughout your life, to periodically undergo such a course of treatment of traditional medicine in order to constantly “keep your finger on the pulse.” Only timely treatment will avoid further complications.

To create decoctions and tinctures, try using the following recipes:

  • Linden flowers will help get rid of high cholesterol. They are crushed with a blender to a powder-like mass and taken three times a day, 15 g each. The course of treatment is 30 days. Then a break of 14 days is taken and you can take linden again.

Linden flowers can lower blood cholesterol

  • You can cleanse blood vessels from “bad” cholesterol with tincture of saphora japonica and mistletoe. To do this, prepare 50 g of both herbs and pour a liter of vodka. Infuse the composition in a glass vessel in a dark place for 20 days. Take one teaspoon twice a day until the tincture runs out.
  • You can properly clean blood vessels from cholesterol plaques using the roots of cyanosis. To do this, 300 g of raw material is crushed and poured with boiled water in the same volume. After two hours, as soon as the broth has cooled, it is filtered. It is recommended to take the medicine four times a day, one tablespoon, with the last time half an hour before bedtime. The course of treatment is 25 days.

Blueberry root will help against high cholesterol in the blood

  • A golden mustache will help you safely remove “bad” cholesterol. To do this, you will need a mustache with a length of at least 200 mm. It is thoroughly ground in a blender and poured with one liter of boiled water. The decoction is infused throughout the day. Take the medicine three times a day, one tablespoon. The course of treatment is three months.
  • You can bring cholesterol back to normal with a decoction of equal amounts of yarrow, periwinkle, mistletoe, hawthorn and horsetail. Dry crushed ingredients are poured into a glass of boiled water and wrapped in a blanket in a glass container. Then the infusion is drunk in small sips throughout the day. It is recommended to repeat the procedure for three months.
  • If you are interested in the question of how to get rid of excess cholesterol in the blood, try using a decoction of yarrow and St. John's wort in equal parts (25 g each), as well as arnica herb (5 g). The herbal mixture is poured into a glass of boiled water and left until it reaches room temperature. It is recommended to drink this amount of drink throughout the day, and make a new portion in the morning. The course of treatment is at least two months. Everything depends on the result achieved.
  • To treat high blood cholesterol at home, it is important to stabilize the functioning of the liver and gallbladder. Experts recommend cleaning the bile ducts. Among the herbs, it is recommended to pay attention to milk thistle, tansy, immortelle and corn hair. In any sequence, take one decoction for seven days, and then the next. After a month, you can check how effective the cleaning was. In this way, waste, toxins and other harmful substances are removed from the body, blood test values are stabilized, and well-being improves.
  • You can fight excess cholesterol with propolis tincture. To do this, buy a four percent tincture at the pharmacy, dissolve seven drops in a tablespoon of water, and take it three times a day. This drug will reduce the concentration of cholesterol in the blood to the desired level.

Propolis tincture can lower blood cholesterol

  • Alfalfa will help eliminate low-density lipoproteins from the blood. But in this case, you will need only fresh herb, and not its dry composition from a pharmacy package. As soon as the first shoots of the plant appear, they are cut off and the juice is squeezed out. It is recommended to take the medicine three times a day, two tablespoons. The course of treatment is at least a month. At the same time, alfalfa will help to simultaneously cope with brittle bones, inflammatory processes in blood vessels and strengthen hair.
  • You can effectively remove slag plaques from blood vessels using another long-term method. For this you will need dandelion roots. They are crushed using a blender to a smooth powder and taken one teaspoon three times a day before meals. But it is worth remembering that this herbal therapy will give results no sooner than in six months, so in severe cases it should not be used.

Crushed dandelion root will eliminate excess cholesterol in the blood

What about folk remedies and miracle dietary supplements?

Despite the fact that there is a lot of material on lowering cholesterol in the blood using so-called “folk remedies” in nature, there are simply no “magic / universal” formulas. As the leading American endocrinologist (Professor, Doctor of Science) Judith Wiley-Rosett assures: “There is no (SINGLE) magic food or (UNIVERSAL) recipe in the world that will quickly and effectively solve all problems! Because the main key to success is a COMPLEX change in your diet. This implies a complete rejection of harmful foods (for example, trans fats), and replacing them with healthy ones (necessarily AFTER THE ADVICE of an endocrinologist or nutritionist). At the same time, of course - in a competent combination with moderate weight loss, giving up bad habits and other life changes, including aerobic physical activity. Taking into account your age and health status!”

Thus, reducing high blood cholesterol in women and men using any “folk remedies” (especially “miracle/supplements” or “individual decoctions”) is a rather dubious “event”. After all, judge for yourself, will there be any sense in even some “real remedy” if everything else in life remains (WITHOUT CHANGE) the same!? Not to mention, will it be useful for you? For example, taking into account other diseases or disorders in the body?

Sports training

Sport cannot be considered as the only way to lower cholesterol, but you shouldn’t discount it either. People who are fit and watch their weight rarely have cholesterol problems. Regular and dosed physical activity strengthens the heart muscle, makes the body healthier, stronger, and more resistant to adverse factors.

But when it comes to sports, it is extremely important to maintain a sense of proportion. Everyone knows of cases where excessive strength or anaerobic exercise, especially in combination with stimulants, led to tragic consequences for health. You can start playing sports at any age, but only if you gradually increase the pace of your training.

As cholesterol increases, weight increases steadily. Swimming, cycling, and dancing are great for reducing it and preventing obesity. Remember that the fat-burning effect occurs mainly with a combination of moderate strength and anaerobic exercise. In other words, if fat burning begins after 30-40 minutes of continuous running (anaerobic training) with a heart rate above 110-120 beats per minute, then for easy weight loss it is enough to run for only 10-15 minutes, but after strength exercises. Additional weight (kettlebell, barbell, weights) should be feasible for a particular person.

Medicines (statins and others)

Cholesterol is a vital substance on which not only our physical health, but also (partly) mental health depends. Because, with its significant (incorrect) decrease in the blood, women and men may experience problems with libido (with all the ensuing consequences). Plus, the immune system and other protective functions of our body weaken. That is why there is no need to “fight” it unnecessarily (for “prevention”) without consulting a doctor! And, especially, without undergoing a LIPIDOGRAM

, i.e. a special (complex) blood test that determines (!) the exact (real) amount of “good” cholesterol, “bad” cholesterol, and triglycerides.

However, if you have any cardiovascular disease, diabetes (or other risk factors), excess cholesterol (mostly “bad” LDL cholesterol) can pose a serious problem. For which (at the discretion of your doctor) you may be recommended to take special medications to lower cholesterol

. Although, the first line of treatment is always the above-mentioned cardinal (and necessarily complex!) changes in diet and lifestyle.

But, if you have been prescribed STATINS

, then continue to follow all the points of the “comprehensive cholesterol reduction plan.” Which, along with other advantages, will allow you to maintain the minimum dosage of this type of “tablet” for a long time. Very effective (literally saving lives), but with “painful” side effects. The frequency of which may increase with increasing dosage.
