Protecting and cleaning the lungs from dust includes a set of measures aimed at preventing the penetration of dust particles into the respiratory tract and accelerating their elimination. The purpose of the measures is the prevention of pneumoconiosis (occupational lung diseases). Despite the impossibility of completely clearing the airways, the methods described in the article enhance the natural mechanisms of lung resistance.

But if the dust has already settled in the lungs, what can be done?

In this case, traditional medicine methods will help. A very good way is to carry out inhalations in a steam room with decoctions of herbs and essential oils (eucalyptus, citrus fruits, tea tree), take a steam bath with a broom, and do a massage with honey. But there is a significant drawback to the bath procedure - dizziness and nausea may occur after it.

There is a set of special breathing exercises. Their principle is a slow and deep breath and normal exhalation. Moreover, the breath is taken as full as possible.

If the lungs are not very dusty, it is better to use a more gentle method - brew tea from oregano and tricolor violet. They are mixed in equal proportions, you can add a little dried fruit, pour boiling water over it, and leave for two days.

This drink should only be drunk hot (bring to a boil again before drinking) and in small portions. Despite the fact that tea is consumed internally, it still helps to get rid of not only dust, but also phlegm.

In addition to herbs, fruit and vegetable juices are a good way to cleanse yourself.

  • Dilute carrot juice and honey by half, drink 1 tbsp three times a day.
  • Dilute black radish juice with honey (can be replaced with sugar) 1:1, drink in the same volume as carrot juice. Drink juice from cabbage and sugar up to 5 times, 1 tsp each.

Another option is to simultaneously make an alcohol tincture from the three listed juices. To do this, prepare the three juices listed above in equal proportions, mix and cover tightly with a lid, simmer in the oven for up to one and a half hours. After this, mix the mixture with vodka. If you take 1 liter of each juice, then you will need 0.5 liters of vodka. Drink this tincture three times a day, 1 tablespoon, for a month.

Among the folk remedies for cleansing the lungs, ordinary chicken broth along with herbs and garlic, prepared from domestic chicken, is effective. Drinking regular milk also removes toxins, but you need to drink milk regularly. In addition to milk, all fermented milk products successfully fight toxins. Milk can be used to cleanse the respiratory tract in different ways.

Pour milk over unpeeled, washed oats, boil by half on low, strain and puree. Drink half a glass three times a day before meals. This remedy is used as an expectorant. Licorice root syrup is also a good expectorant.

Pour boiling milk into a thermos and add pine cones and a little tree resin, leave for up to 4 hours, drink on an empty stomach in the morning and evening for a month or two. Strain well before use.

It is very useful for people with polluted respiratory tracts to be exposed to sea or forest air for a long time. The sea wave ionizes the air with negative anions (according to the principle of Chizhevsky’s chandelier), and forest plants release phytoncides that have a cleansing effect. Clean air ventilates the lungs and restores the body's defenses.

For those who are accustomed to trusting traditional medicine, there is good news: folk remedies most often relieve the main symptoms, and traditional medicine completely cleanses the respiratory system of foreign objects.

Inhalations based on drugs and herbs are actively used in medicine. Such inhalations are carried out in courses of at least 7 days. But only a doctor prescribes the right drug, who must take into account the degree of contamination of the respiratory tract.

The lungs are considered the natural cleansing system of the human body from harmful substances. By passing a large amount of air through themselves, the respiratory organs themselves can cleanse themselves and restore their functions. However, working in conditions of clogged, dusty air, the presence of bad habits, in particular smoking, decreased immunity due to the penetration of pathogenic microflora into the respiratory system - all this leads to malfunctions in the functioning of the organ, its clogging and the accumulation of harmful substances in it.

Few people have thought about what changes occur in the respiratory system when the concentration of harmful substances is several times higher than the amount that can be excreted directly by the lungs. In this case, there is the development of various diseases that prevent the pulmonary system from performing its functions. To prevent the occurrence of various pathologies, it is necessary to cleanse the lungs. Today there are many methods for cleaning your lungs at home quickly and effectively.

Methods for cleaning the lungs from construction dust

During repairs, you have to deal with sawing, sanding or trimming wood and cardboard. The grains are able to penetrate into the respiratory tract. When cardboard or wood dust gets into the nose, irritation occurs, weakening of the sense of smell, sensitivity of the ciliated epithelium, sneezing, infection, and bleeding. When wood shavings settle on the walls of the organ, microwounds and scars appear.

The impact of cement dust on the respiratory system has a destructive effect. The lungs, eyes, and skin suffer from building materials. In the absence of proper protection, the eyes begin to water, itch, and with prolonged contact causes blindness. The skin dries out, the cement absorbs moisture. Cracks and bleeding wounds appear on the skin. The lungs are most at risk; under the influence of dust they begin to collapse and become rough.

Dangerous construction dust in the lungs without proper purification leads to irreparable consequences that poison life. Concrete and limestone impurities during repair work can cause pneumonia, sneezing, coughing, irritation of the mucous membranes, and asbestos dust particles with prolonged exposure can cause scarring of lung tissue.

Agricultural workers suffer from flour dust. When interacting with the mucous membrane, grain dust forms a sticky-like membrane, causing inflammation in the bronchial mucosa. Manicurists are exposed to nail chips, which cause destruction of the thin membrane of the respiratory system.

By observing safety conditions, the risk of developing pulmonary diseases is reduced.

When the first symptoms appear, do not rush, start the procedure immediately, consult your doctor. There is no general cure for cleansing; you can try several options and choose the method you like.

Inhalations

By directly affecting the respiratory tract with medicinal vapors, the effectiveness of inhalation is confirmed. A nebulizer can be used for therapy. Device manufacturers do not allow the use of homemade solutions. You can resort to the old proven method - inhaling vapors over a basin.

Herbs will help cope with dust in the lungs: chamomile, eucalyptus, pine buds, plantain, cedar and juniper. The decoction is easy to prepare - pour 1 tablespoon of medicinal plants with 0.5 liters of boiling water, reduce the heat, and simmer for five minutes. Cool to 45-50 0 C so that the steam does not burn, cover your head, place the basin on the table, and freely inhale the medicinal vapors. For the first procedure, two minutes is enough to check for an allergic reaction. Subsequent ones should be 10 minutes long. The course of inhalation therapy should consist of ten procedures once a day. Start inhalation two hours after eating; once completed, do not go outside.

You can cleanse your lungs of traces of smoking by inhalation with decoctions of elderberry herbs, pine buds, juniper, cedar, eucalyptus, and chamomile. For the greatest effect, you need to combine several components in a decoction. Essential oils of fir and cedar/pine trees cleanse the respiratory tract.

Drinking a glass of milk daily can remove toxins from the lungs. A glass of green tea works similarly. Herbal infusions of fennel, thyme, rose hips, and cardamom will help.

Contraindications to inhalation: elevated temperature, close blood vessels on the face and a predisposition to bloody nasal discharge.

Medicines

Medicinal cleansing should be done as prescribed and under the supervision of a physician. The following drugs are used to cleanse the lungs:

  1. Ambroxol cough syrup. It has an expectorant and secretolytic effect. Helps with coughs that produce viscous sputum.
  2. The drug "Bromhexine". It has an expectorant effect and has no contraindications. Thanks to the variety of produced forms (solution for inhalation and injection, tablets and syrup), it can be used by different age categories and people with chronic diseases.
  3. The drug "Acetylcysteine" has a mucolytic, antioxidant and expectorant effect, stimulating the motor function of the respiratory tract.
  4. Ascoril dilates the bronchi, relieves bronchospasm, thins sputum due to the content of salbutamol.
  5. Mukaltin tablets have an anti-inflammatory, expectorant and bronchi-enveloping effect.

If medication does not bring relief, you should go to the hospital.

Breathing exercises

You can cleanse your lungs and strengthen your body with breathing exercises:

  • stand up, straighten your back;
  • take an extremely large breath of air through your nose;
  • hold your breath for 10-15 seconds;
  • exhale air through your mouth, sharply, about ten abrupt exhalations.

Breathing exercises are repeated approximately 30 times.

ethnoscience

Effective folk methods for cleaning respiratory systems:

  • taking activated carbon in the morning;
  • back massage using natural honey. Spread a thin layer of honey on your back, stick your hands to the skin, peel off your palms;
  • Rinsing the larynx with mineral water will help remove dust from the upper respiratory organs;
  • using an infusion of coltsfoot and oregano plants, combined use enhances cleansing.

The accumulation of dust in the lungs has a negative impact on the smooth functioning of the body. To achieve maximum results, your doctor will help you choose the right technique.

Cleansing the lungs with medications, contraindications for the procedure

Today there are a large number of methods for cleansing the lungs. The most effective include: cleansing with medications, herbal remedies, in particular oatmeal jelly, inhalations, and gymnastics. However, it should be understood that cleansing the lungs can only be done after consulting a specialist.

Inappropriate use of one or another technique is fraught with aggravation of the situation. Complete cleansing of the lungs from all harmful substances accumulated in them is a long and laborious process. If the smoker’s experience is short, the process may take a couple of weeks; in a severe case (if the experience is many years), it can drag on for months. It’s worth preparing for this mentally.

Cleaning with medication

This method is suitable for adherents of traditional medicine. There are plenty of medications to cleanse the lungs. As a rule, these are medications that have mucolytic and expectorant properties, agents that help liquefy bronchial secretions, as well as facilitate their removal from the lungs.

The following medications are often recommended for the procedure:

  • Ambroxol. The medicine has pronounced expectorant properties, and also helps cleanse the respiratory system even in heavy smokers, as well as quickly ease breathing. It is necessary to take the medicine according to the instructions.
  • Gedelix. A highly effective phytotherapeutic drug that is well tolerated and has no side effects. Helps in quickly liquefying mucus and removing it from the respiratory system.
  • Mucaltina. An effective mucolytic agent. Helps quickly cleanse the bronchi and lungs of mucus, as well as remove phlegm and make breathing easier.
  • Askoril. The drug is produced in the form of tablets and syrup. Helps in facilitating the removal of mucus, dilating the bronchi and eliminating bronchospasm.

Contraindications

Before you start cleansing the lungs with the help of medication, you need to study the instructions and make sure there are no contraindications. Each drug has its own contraindications. However, there are also a few common ones. These include: individual intolerance to the components of the drug, the period of gestation and breastfeeding. In addition, the technique cannot be used by people who have not given up the bad habit of smoking.

Basic methods of cleansing

First of all, before clearing your lungs of dust and dirt, you should definitely consult a doctor and make sure that the unpleasant symptoms are not associated with pathologies.

There is no universal remedy for clearing dust from the lungs, so in order to get the best effect, you should try several options and choose the one that is most suitable in this particular case.

Inhalations

Inhalation is the direct effect of medicinal vapors on the respiratory tract. Therefore, it is believed that inhalation is the most effective cleanser.

A nebulizer can be used to carry out the procedure. But not all manufacturers allow the use of homemade decoctions in the device. Therefore, it is better to do inhalations in the old proven way over a saucepan or kettle.

To remove dust in the lungs, you can use chamomile, eucalyptus, plantain, juniper, pine (buds), cedar. One tablespoon of any of these herbs should be poured into 0.5 liters of boiling water, brought to a boil and heated over low heat for about five minutes. Afterwards, remove the broth and allow to cool slightly. You cannot use boiling water for inhalation; the liquid should be 45-50 o C.

Then you need to place the container with the broth on the table, bend over so that you can freely inhale the steam and at the same time it should not burn. Cover yourself with a towel on top. The total duration of the procedure is 10 minutes, but the first inhalation should be done for no more than 2 minutes, as there is a possibility of developing allergic reactions. If after the first procedure no allergy is observed, then the next inhalation can last 10 minutes. In total, it is advisable to do 10 procedures (1 time per day).

Inhalations are done 1.5 - 2 hours after meals and 1 hour before meals. After cleaning, you need to rest; you should not go outside for half an hour in the summer and for two hours in the winter. It is also better not to talk for about 30 minutes after the end of the procedure.

You need to breathe evenly over the steam, get too close to the liquid and don’t inhale deeply; the steam should be tolerably hot. At elevated body temperatures (37.2 o C and above), it is impossible to cleanse yourself using inhalations. Contraindications also include a tendency to nosebleeds, the proximity of facial blood vessels to the surface of the skin and heart disease.

Medicines in cleaning

Dust in the lungs can also be removed with the help of pharmaceutical preparations. But we should not forget that this is no longer just a cleansing, but a treatment that must be supervised by a doctor.

  • Ambroxol. Expectorant and secretolytic agent. Effective when coughing produces viscous sputum.
  • Bromhexine. It also has an expectorant effect, but has virtually no contraindications and has no effect on the circulatory system. The variety of release forms (tablets, syrup, solution for injection and inhalation) allows the product to be used regardless of age and the presence of chronic diseases.
  • Acetylcysteine. In addition to being an expectorant, it has detoxifying properties. At the same time, it is a stimulator of the motor function of the respiratory tract.
  • Gedelix. This syrup is made on the basis of ivy leaf extract, which is its advantage.
  • Mukaltin. An inexpensive but effective drug with expectorant, anti-inflammatory and enveloping properties.

Exceeding the dose of these drugs or using several of them at the same time can lead to serious consequences.

Breathing exercises

Breathing exercises help not only to cleanse the lungs, but also to strengthen the body overall. To perform gymnastics, you should stand so that your back is straight, exhale as much air as possible and inhale through your nose. Then you need to hold your breath for 5-10 seconds and exhale the air in small portions (10 abrupt exhalations).

The procedure can be done 2-3 times a day.

Before cleaning the respiratory organs, it is necessary to realize that the main efforts should be directed to improving the quality of the air inhaled, otherwise such cleanings will have no effect.

Firstly, you definitely need to quit smoking. Secondly, it is better to spend weekends and vacations outside the city, where the air is not polluted by exhaust gases and chemicals.

It is imperative to carry out daily wet cleaning of the house. It is important to humidify the air in the room, since microparticles of fungi, dust, dust mites, etc. immediately settle in humid air. And in dry air they not only fly in almost every corner of the room, but also the dry nasal mucosa is not able to stop them when inhaled, all this dirt immediately enters the lungs.

It is important to ventilate the premises being repaired to reduce the concentration of construction dust in the air. Any repair work must be carried out not only in special clothing, but also in a respirator.

People who live in polluted regions should constantly monitor the cleanliness of their bodies. In this case, you can drink two glasses of green tea, which has an antioxidant effect. For the same purpose, you can drink decoctions of rose hips or fennel.

Cleansing the respiratory tract will be more effective if you lead a healthy lifestyle. Morning exercises, evening jogging, and hardening help to quickly cleanse not only the lungs, but the entire body.

Polluted environment, smoking, poor lifestyle - this is just a small list of reasons why the respiratory system becomes polluted. To maintain your health, you need to know how to clear dust from your lungs.

Lung functions

Until relatively recently, there was an opinion that the main role played by the lungs in the human body is breathing. However, scientists have come to the conclusion that the functionality of this paired organ is much broader. In addition to the fact that they are responsible for gas exchange in the body, they are also a kind of filter that purifies the blood and air from various harmful impurities, participate in almost all types of metabolism, including water, and can directly affect the composition of the blood.

But this is not all that this important body has to do. Thanks to the lungs, the likelihood of damage to the heart during a blow is minimized. If we compare the human body to a car, then the lungs are a shock absorber. Also, without a fully functioning paired organ, a person will not be able to speak, since they are responsible for the air flow, without which it is impossible to make a sound.

Do your lungs need cleaning?

Most of our organs are naturally endowed with the ability to cleanse themselves. But let's not forget what times we live in:

  1. The dustiness of city air, emissions from hazardous enterprises, and transport smog - all this creates additional stress on our respiratory organs.
  2. If a bad habit like smoking is added to all these external influences, it is rare that the body can withstand such a load, and it is the lungs that are most often the first to suffer.
  3. It is extremely unwise and dangerous to leave this most important organ without help, because its contamination causes the development of pulmonary diseases, negatively affects the functioning of the brain, cardiovascular, immune and central nervous systems, and affects the structure of the blood.

That is why, if the lungs are excessively polluted, you should not hope for their self-cleaning, but help them in all possible ways. Cleansing procedures will help restore normal ventilation of the lungs, and with them the activity of other organs and systems.

Why is lung cleansing important?

Before deciding how to cleanse your lungs of dust and dirt, it is worth understanding how they become contaminated and who is at risk.

Do not think that this organ is polluted only in those who smoke. Yes, nicotine tar and other harmful substances negatively affect the condition of the lungs, but they are not the only factors that can harm the organ. Along with heavy smokers, quite often people whose profession is related to construction ask themselves the question of how to clean their lungs after dust.

In addition to them, miners, people working in chemical plants, as well as those whose activities are related to the woodworking, metallurgical and paper industries are also at risk. Even if production facilities comply with all safety requirements, and employees work in protective suits and masks, some harmful dust and dirt still penetrates the lungs and accumulates there.

Over time, this can lead to diseases and complications that will require a more expensive approach than simple methods with which you can not only learn how to cleanse your lungs of construction dust, but also quickly get rid of all the harmful substances accumulated in this organ .

At-risk groups

At risk are people who are most susceptible to respiratory contamination and require regular cleaning:

  • actively abusing tobacco products;
  • residents of polluted cities;
  • passive smokers;
  • residents of industrial, environmentally polluted areas;
  • workers in coal mines, wood processing enterprises and construction organizations are susceptible to organ clogging with coal dust, wood and metal shavings, and construction dust.

Safety precautions include protective equipment that reduces the entry of dust particles into the respiratory system. Respirators and gauze bandages are not able to completely protect the organs.

When to clean

If a person wonders how to clear dust from his lungs, this means that his health is far from ideal, and he is beginning to be bothered by unpleasant sensations and symptoms. When to think about this procedure:

  • allergic reactions appeared for no apparent reason;
  • cases of acute respiratory infections have become more frequent;
  • constantly stuffy nose;
  • there was discomfort in the throat;
  • suffers from a lingering cough that cannot be cured with conventional medications.

All these signs indicate that you urgently need to inquire about how to cleanse your lungs of dust and other harmful substances and begin procedures immediately. The huge advantage of all methods is that they can be done at home without the help of doctors.

How do the lungs become contaminated and what are the consequences?

Residents of large cities suffer from air pollution. Chemicals emitted by industrial plants end up in the air. They cause environmental pollution. Toxic smoke, smog, exhaust gases, and dust settle in a person’s lungs and pollute them.

People whose profession involves working in mines, factories, construction and woodworking plants expose their respiratory system to danger. Dust, fumes of metals and chemicals, wood shavings and many other elements harmful to health penetrate into their bronchi and lungs.

Contaminated ones cause bronchopulmonary diseases. Therefore, it is necessary to know how to cleanse the lungs and carry out this procedure regularly. Treatment is most often carried out at home. Toxins and dust in the lungs impair the healthy function of the respiratory system.

For this reason, diseases such as:

The respiratory organs play an important role; they saturate the human body with oxygen. If they do not cope well with their function, the whole body suffers from this. Toxins and dust in the lungs lead to oxygen deprivation, which causes:

  • metabolic disease;
  • decreased immunity;
  • circulatory disorders;
  • the occurrence of heart diseases.

To prevent the development of all these ailments, you need to take care of your health and learn how to cleanse your lungs of toxins and dust. You should also inquire how quickly the desired effect will occur. This information can be obtained from your doctor.

Inhalations

This method is perfect for those who, for example, while doing renovations in their apartment, inhaled dust. How to cleanse the lungs using inhalations and do you need to buy medications? Typically, medications are not necessary. Medicinal herbs and ordinary mineral water will come to the rescue.

If you have a nebulizer, you can use it, but an ordinary enamel pan will do just fine. What herbs and plant materials can be used for procedures:

You can take one ingredient, but it is better to use a mix of several plants. The raw materials of coniferous trees are especially effective; with its help you can not only remove dust from the lungs, but also strengthen the immune system.

For the procedure, you need to prepare 1 tablespoon of raw material, pour half a liter of boiling water over it and leave for half an hour. After this, pour the broth into a container, cover with a towel and inhale the warm vapors for 15-20 minutes. It is better to do such procedures before bed, because after them it is not recommended to talk or go outside for at least 30-40 minutes.

Mineral water can be poured into a nebulizer and the inhalation procedure can be carried out. To enhance the effect, doctors recommend that people working in hazardous industries gargle with mineral water daily.

Methods for removing dust particles

Penetration of dust into the bronchi and alveoli is not always accompanied by the development of the disease. With small amounts of dust inhalation, the lungs are cleared of dust on their own. The airways have natural mechanisms to protect against foreign particles entering them.

The most dangerous for the lungs is fine dust with a diameter of less than 5 microns. Such particles penetrate into the alveoli and through the alveolar wall, and these structures lack most natural defenses.

Natural cleaning mechanisms include:

  • cough reflex;
  • activation of mucus production by goblet cells of the bronchial mucosa;
  • movement of the cilia of the ciliated epithelium directed towards the exit from the respiratory tract;
  • phagocytosis of dust particles as a reaction to a foreign body. Macrophages are able to remove dust from the lungs by absorbing and dissolving it.

Photo 1

Dust penetrating the respiratory tract partially settles in the upper sections, the rest of it penetrates into the alveoli . Thanks to coughing and sputum, foreign particles leave the bronchi, and phagocytes destroy dust particles in the alveoli and interstitium.

Prolonged and intense inhalation of dust particles leads to atrophy of the mucous membrane , thereby destroying natural cleaning mechanisms.

Dust particles containing silicon atoms are the most dangerous in terms of the development of fibrosis. Quartz, glass and other silicon-based dusts lead to the development of silicosis. Granulomas form around such particles in the lungs. Macrophages that dissolve foreign agents are destroyed, which leads to the release of a number of aggressive enzymes that damage lung tissue.

The likelihood of developing the disease is also determined by genetic predisposition. The tendency to form pneumoconiosis is determined by the following factors:

  • efficiency of mechanisms for removing dust particles;
  • the activity of immune reactions in response to the introduction of foreign agents;
  • severity of inflammatory and fibrotic processes;
  • polymorphism of the gene responsible for the production of tumor necrosis factor.

Excessively active immunological reactions and a tendency to fibrosis ensure the rapid development and severe course of pneumoconiosis.

Method of cleansing from Bolotov

The famous scientist Boris Bolotov gives his recommendations on how to cleanse the lungs of coal dust quickly and effectively. To do this, he recommends going to the steam room; a total of 6 procedures are needed, which are carried out every other day. While in the bathhouse, he advises drinking diaphoretic teas from any medicinal raw material: it could be cranberry, currant, raspberry, linden or coltsfoot.

After the steam room you will need to drink special kvass, which is prepared as follows:

  • celandine leaves crushed into powder - 200 grams;
  • whey – 3 liters;
  • sugar – 2 tablespoons;
  • mix all ingredients thoroughly;
  • leave for 5 days in a shaded place.

After each trip to the bathhouse you need to drink 130-140 ml of this drink. Within just a few days you will feel easier breathing and improved well-being.

After smoking

First you need to quit smoking. Cleaning a smoker's lungs is a fairly lengthy procedure.

Inhalation is considered the most effective method today. They can be done using a special nebulizer device or replaced with a container of hot broth.

The following plants are suitable for preparing decoctions for inhalation:

  1. Elder.
  2. Pine buds.
  3. Juniper.
  4. Cedar.
  5. Chamomile.
  6. Eucalyptus.

You can use only one plant, but for better results make a decoction of several components. Essential oils of fir, pine or cedar are very effective. After inhalation, do not open your mouth for 30 minutes. The procedure must be carried out in a course of ten sessions.

Breathe according to Batulin's method

The author of the health system in his works gives recommendations on how to cleanse the lungs after construction dust using a special breathing exercise.

The lesson is conducted as follows:

  1. Immediately after waking up in the morning, sit on your bed and try to completely relax your whole body.
  2. Raise your head slightly and inhale air through your nose. You need to feel how it penetrates deeply into your lungs. The mouth cannot be opened.
  3. You need to inhale as deeply and as long as possible. There may be some pain in the rib area, but this is normal.
  4. After this, you need to hold your breath as much as possible.
  5. After this, you need to exhale air through your mouth in small portions.
  6. Repeat all steps 3 times.

This exercise helps eliminate harmful substances from the lungs; it can be done several times throughout the day.

Why and how should you cleanse your lungs?

Regular cleaning of the lungs and bronchi is necessary to prevent the development of pathologies of the respiratory system. This procedure is aimed at improving the breathing process. The procedure is recommended for anyone who, for one reason or another, has to inhale fumes from polluted air.

People who:

  • smoke;
  • work in dusty rooms;
  • work in hazardous work;
  • live in contaminated areas;
  • live in industrial areas.

To keep your respiratory organs healthy, you need to clean them once a year. After this procedure, the human respiratory system will return to normal, blood circulation will also improve, and the body’s protective function will increase.

Ways to cleanse your lungs

The appearance of paroxysmal cough, shortness of breath, and incomplete inhalation indicates the presence of dust in the lungs. There are quite a few ways to cleanse the respiratory system of dust, toxins and waste. Before starting treatment, you should consult your doctor. Smokers should quit their bad habit before cleaning.

The list of the most popular methods of cleaning the lungs includes the following methods:

Having chosen a method, you need to start implementing it. Under no circumstances should you quit something you have started without completing it. There will be no benefit in this case. The lungs can also be cleansed for preventive purposes.

Cleansing after smoking

It may take quite a long time.

Before you begin the procedure, you need to consider one rule: you will need to quit smoking.

One of the most effective methods in this case is inhalation. To carry them out, you can use a modern nebulizer; if you don’t have one, do steam inhalations over a pan of broth.

Inhalations can be done using the following medicinal plants:

You can choose one plant, but to achieve greater effect it is better to make a decoction from a collection of different herbs. Coniferous trees have a powerful effect. Essential oils of pine, fir, and cedar cleanse the respiratory tract and lungs well.

After the procedure, it is not recommended to eat, drink or talk for 30 minutes. The course of treatment includes ten procedures. It is useful not only to do inhalations using these herbs, but also to take them orally (pour 1 tablespoon of herbs with half a liter of boiling water and leave).

How to remove toxins from their lungs?

To remove toxic substances from your lungs, you will need to drink a lot of fluids. This should be purified spring or mineral water. You need to drink at least two liters of water per day.

To cleanse the lungs of toxins, you can use herbal infusions:

  • fennel;
  • cardamom;
  • thyme;
  • rosehip.

It is beneficial to drink a cup of green tea daily. Milk is also known for its ability to remove harmful substances from the body. Those whose work activities take place in a polluted environment should regularly drink at least a glass of milk a day.

Garlic has powerful antioxidant properties. It helps dissolve toxic mucus accumulated in the lungs.

To achieve a cleansing effect when the respiratory system is contaminated with toxins, it is necessary to inhale garlic phytoncides, as well as eat this product. This is a fairly simple cleaning method.

To get rid of toxins accumulated in the respiratory system, special breathing exercises are used, the exercises of which are aimed at deep, measured breathing. The respiratory system in the yoga technique helps very well. A Russian bath using a birch or oak broom has effective cleansing properties.

Drug cleansing of the lungs

To restore respiratory function, some medications are used:

These and some other medications that have expectorant, mucolytic, and bronchodilator effects remove toxins, harmful substances, and tars. Before starting treatment, consultation with a specialist is necessary.

Traditional medicine methods

Traditional medicine offers a wide selection of recipes for cleansing the bronchi and lungs of dust. Here are some effective ways to cleanse your lungs using folk remedies:

All of the above methods provide maximum effect for cleansing the respiratory system when used in combination. To develop a method for cleansing the lungs, you will need to consult a doctor who will advise whether it is possible to cleanse the lungs and how to do it. This way you can achieve maximum effect. It is also worth making sure that the lungs are exposed to harmful effects as little as possible.

According to traditional healers, they can cure even diseases that official medicine cannot, so it’s time to start cleaning your lungs if you experience the following symptoms:

  1. I suffer from frequent runny nose of unknown etiology.
  2. Cough syndrome, but does not suffer from sore throat or cold.
  3. Susceptible to allergic reactions.
  4. Periodically you feel pain and swelling of the laryngeal mucosa that appears and then passes.
  5. You just can’t get rid of protracted bronchitis and asthma.

Tibetan monks recipe

Quite strange, but people living in ecologically clean places on our planet also know how to clear dust from their lungs. Tibetan monks offer their own method. For this they recommend using aloe.

From a plant that is at least 5 years old, you need to take several leaves, a total of 300 grams should be obtained. They need to be wrapped in a plastic bag and refrigerated for a week. After this time, the medicinal raw material must be taken out, washed under running water and the juice squeezed out of it in any convenient way. Mix the resulting liquid with Cahors in equal proportions and add a glass of liquid honey. You need to take this cleansing mixture up to 5 times a day, one tablespoon at a time. Do this 1 hour before eating.

Drinks with cleansing properties

Natural juices and herbal teas will also help cleanse your lungs of dust. How to prepare and take them? There are several effective recipes recommended by traditional healers:

  • Linden blossom and licorice root. Take an equal amount of each ingredient and mix. Steam 1 tablespoon of the resulting mixture with a glass of boiling water. Wait 15 minutes and you can drink (strain first). You can add honey or sugar to improve the taste.
  • Tricolor violet and oregano. Mix the herbs in equal proportions and separate a tablespoon. Brew the raw material with boiling water (500 ml). Leave with the lid closed for at least one hour. Use three times a day until relief is felt. This drink can also be used for prevention. To do this, they drink it every other day for a month, then take a month-long break and start using it again.
  • Juice therapy. Using beets, carrots and black radishes you can quickly cleanse the pulmonary system. To do this, mix freshly squeezed juice of each vegetable in equal proportions. Drink half a glass twice a day for 10 days.

From toxins

Toxins are eliminated from the human body by consuming plenty of fluids. You need to drink at least 2 liters of clean water per day. It will be useful to use decoctions of thyme, fennel, cardamom or rose hips.

You can drink green tea. Milk will also help remove toxins. You should consume at least one glass of milk daily.

Garlic is a fairly effective remedy. It is known for its antioxidant properties, helping to dissolve toxic mucus found in the lungs. To cleanse your respiratory system, you should inhale the vapors of garlic and include it in your diet.

Breathing exercises based on deep and leisurely breathing will help remove toxins. You can use yoga exercises. A hot bath using a birch broom also perfectly cleanses the lungs.

Treatment with oats

Many workers at wood processing plants and furniture factories begin to feel worse over time and wonder how to cleanse their lungs of wood dust that has accumulated over years of work in production. A simple recipe based on milk and oats will come to the rescue.

How to prepare a healing drink:

  1. Prepare half a liter of homemade milk and a glass of oatmeal (cereals will not work in this case).
  2. Bring milk to a boil and add oats.
  3. Cook until the mixture has reduced in volume by half.
  4. After this, rub the resulting medicine through a sieve and cool until barely warm.
  5. You need to drink this remedy three times a day before meals (half an hour before).

Do not be alarmed if after a few days of such use the cough intensifies and sputum begins to flow intensively. At first it may be gray, and then almost black. This is a normal cleansing process, as all harmful substances are removed from the lungs. You need to drink this drink until the phlegm disappears.

How to cleanse your lungs with breathing exercises

If you want to bypass the options for consuming medicinal infusions internally, you can try to improve the condition of the respiratory tract with simple gymnastics. A set of exercises normalizes metabolism, eliminates harmful substances and dust. Repeat these steps:

  1. Take a deep breath.
  2. Hold your breath for 3 seconds.
  3. Close your lips and extend them forward. Make sure your cheeks are not puffy.
  4. Release some air.
  5. Pause for 3 seconds.
  6. Release some more air.
  7. Repeat this until all the air has come out. Repeat the cycle at least 10 times.

Self-cleaning of dust in the body occurs according to the following scheme. First, the dust enters the nasal cavity, where ideally the dust should settle on the inner hairs and be eliminated along with the mucus. This is how large and heavy dust gets rid of. But if nasal breathing is difficult or occurs through the mouth, then the bronchi are the first to suffer.

Small dust particles settle on the alveoli, which are also involved in cleansing the lungs. In the alveoli, dust settles on the cilia of the epithelium. The body is capable of removing dust both through the respiratory tract and through the lymphatic system.

However, in some cases, when a person is dealing with particularly fine dust, it is necessary to clean his lungs as often as possible.

Here are some symptoms that should alert you:

  • constant frequent runny nose;
  • persistent cough for no apparent reason;
  • frequent allergies;
  • pain and swelling in the throat;
  • asthma and bronchitis.

As protective measures in hazardous production conditions, respirators should be used - simple and with a replaceable filter. Installing an indoor air filter can partially reduce dust levels. It is also necessary to regularly wipe dust from work surfaces.

Simple humidification of the air gives a good effect, because in humidified air, dust combines with droplets of moisture and settles along with it, without entering the human lungs.

When making home renovations, be sure to protect the room being repaired with film, temporary doors, a partition, or clean it with a wet cloth. In addition to installing doors, it is advisable to cover all furniture with protective film, ventilate the room, perform wet cleaning and use construction vacuum cleaners.

What do doctors recommend?

Doctors give some simple recommendations on how to cleanse your lungs of dust. First of all, they advise drinking plenty of fluids. These can be natural juices, green tea, mineral water or fermented milk drinks.

They also advise periodically going on vacation to the sea coast. The healing sea air helps cleanse the bronchopulmonary system not only of dust, but also of toxins.

In addition, you need to spend more time outdoors on weekends. Trips to a pine forest or walks in parks away from busy highways and manufacturing plants are recommended.

How to prepare for cleaning?

The process of cleansing the lungs cannot be carried out spontaneously, without first preparing the respiratory system and the entire body for radical changes.

  1. First, you need to give up the most harmful habit for your lungs - smoking. Think for yourself, is it possible to cleanse your lungs if they become clogged again every day?
  2. If you have been smoking for a long period, then not only your respiratory system, but also your digestive organs, in particular your intestines, have probably suffered. Inhaled tobacco smoke and the tars and other toxins it contains contribute to the formation of mucus and even stones on the intestinal walls. Before you cleanse your lungs, be sure to cleanse your intestines.
  3. If it is possible to change your place of residence or work to less harmful living and working conditions, do so. Then your lungs will become truly easy to breathe.
  4. Be sure to consult with your doctor, find out if you have any contraindications for such a process as cleansing the lungs with folk remedies and other procedures.

Only after you are confident in the safety of cleansing techniques in your individual case can you begin the step-by-step process of healing your lungs.
